When you think about it, women have the easier end of the stick when it comes to having a great body. All they have to do is to lose weight and that’s it. Men on the other hand would have to go beyond shedding excess pounds before their bodies could be considered good looking. They have to build their muscles as well. For those guys who would like to develop their bodies, here are some diet plans for men to lose weight and build muscle. You have to remember that a great body is achieved by a combination of a good diet, and an excellent exercise routine that is appropriate to your body and condition. So while trying some of these diets you also need to do some exercises that will help build your muscles.
First Meal- Start the day with 2 eggs, half a cup of oatmeal, half a cup of berries, a cup of fat free milk. Combine that with a vitamin supplement that is supposed to provide you with all, or almost all of the vitamin requirements for the day. The eggs, and the milk will provide you with proteins, while the oatmeal will be an excellent source of carbohydrates. The berries on the other hand can supply most of the antioxidants needed by the body. You can also replace the oatmeal and berries with cereal and raisins.
Fluids- Make sure that you drink up a lot of water throughout the day. This will ensure that your body will have the right amount of fluid. Dehydration could lead to poor muscle performance and poor judgement.
Second Meal- Create a salad using the following: A can of tuna, premixed vegetables, olive oil, and an orange. Tuna is also an excellent source of protein, while vegetables with dark green leaves are excellent sources of magnesium, which is essential for the muscles to function properly. The orange can give you a dose of Vitamin C. If you would like some variety, you can substitute the tuna for any kind of meat.
Third Meal- Create a sandwich with the following: Sliced chicken, whole wheat bread, mayonnaise, lettuce, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Chicken can be a great source of protein. Mayonnaise on the other hand can enhance the flavor of your sandwich. If you don’t want a sandwich then you can try soup instead.
Fourth Meal- Create a shake by using the following: Whey protein powder, fat free milk, berries, flaxseed oil, olive oil. Whey protein is regarded by many body builders as the best protein supplement. There are also alternatives if you do not have access to a blender. There are packets of meal replacement drinks that are available today that you can mix up instantly.
Fifth Meal- Create a shake by using the following: A scoop and a half of whey protein powder, and a cup of fruit juice.
Sixth Meal- Grilled salmon, baked sweet potato, a cup of salad.
Follow this diet plan throughout the day and get plenty of sleep, make sure that you do your exercise, and you will notice some excellent effects on your weight.
