tea for weight loss. Most of you have probably
heard about the health benefits of green tea for weight
loss. But can it also help you burn fat and speed up your
metabolism?
Well, we’re about to find out what the actual science has to
say on this topic. Could it be that green tea has just been
overhyped by the tea manufacturers? Let’s see.
About ten years ago the first study came
out to suggest that green tea for weight loss was to be
recommended. Now mind you, this study was a small one, but it
was very well run.
And what they showed was that as little as 3
cups equivalent of green tea a day could boost
the metabolism by 5%. Now that’s not bad. It won’t
burn the fat off you in days, but if you did nothing else you’d
lose about a pound a month.

And that’s if you kept everything the same. That’s
12 pounds in a year.
Since then more and more studies are showing the benefits of
drinking green tea for weight loss. In addition to the
antioxidants that help protect against cancer and heart
disease, green tea for weight loss is also to be
recommended.
But now I get lots of questions from friends and members who
are asking me; “Jack, that’s great, but I want to really burn
fat and fast.” So if you’ll let me offer some tips to make
great gains with green tea for weight loss.
These are some of the additional tips that the
Japanese and Chinese use to remain arguably the
thinnest folks on the planet.
Have a liquid breakfast. This is a favorite
in Japan. Miso soup is generally considered a breakfast food.
And a big bowl of miso soup is offered for breakfast in Japan.
If you don’t like miso soup, try a cold bowl of gazpacho, or
whatever type of broth you like. Drinking soup for your first
meal of the day is a great way to feel full for at least a few
hours and to save on beaucoup calories.
In addition to this, Asians will of course have their first
cup of green tea in the morning.
You should aim to drink about 6 or so cups of green
tea for weight loss per day. This seems like a lot but
it isn’t really. You have one cup of green tea for brekkie. You
have another cup in the mid-morning with your mid-morning
snack. Drink another cup at lunch time. That’s 3 cups of green
tea for weight loss and it’s not even afternoon yet. Add one to
the mid-afternoon tea time. Have another cup of green tea with
dinner and now you’re at 5. Retire to the couch and have
another cup of green tea for weight loss just before bed.
But what about my juice and wine and beer and pop. Ah that’s
the rub friends. The idea is to replace all your
calorie laden beverages with green tea.
You’ll be amazed at how such a simple tip will elevate your
weight loss efforts. Friends, folks generally overlook the
amount of calories they consume in liquid form. And this truly
circumvents their weight loss efforts.
Additional great news about drinking green tea for weight
loss is that it’ll keep you full in between
meals. It’ll also protect you from certain cancers and
heart disease. Also, you’ll have a lower risk of gall stones
and kidney stones too. And in no time at all you’ll be thin
like the Japanese.
I know some of you might be concerned about the amount of
caffeine you’ll be consuming. But 6 cups of green tea
for weight loss has less caffeine than 1 Starbucks grande
coffee. You can also find decaffeinated green teas at
most supermarkets. This still maintains the metabolism boosting
benefits as they are unrelated to green tea.
One additional tip is to drink green tea infused with
something else. Jasmine green tea is my favorite. I find that
this helps cut the effect of the tannin which can make some
folks feel a little nauseous if drunk on an empty tummy.
